Social Justice. Community. Sustainability.
Preparing the next generation of environmental leaders.
To be a nexus for positive impact by addressing barriers to engaging urban communities with nature, promoting healthy environments by increasing social awareness, and preparing the future green leaders of the world for the environmental workforce.
Through community partnerships and hands-on experiences, stakeholders of urban neighborhoods acquire the skills to self-sustain green communities and youth become well-qualified college applicants and internship candidates who address the inequities of environmental organizations and networks.
Studies show that among 300+ environmental organizations in the US, less than 12% of executive-level positions are occupied by people of color and even less take advantage of our national and local parks due to a lack of access and perpetuated social barriers. Organic Connects is working to rewrite this narrative.
